Club Activity

Welcome to Beeston Road Club

Beeston Road Club is a cycling club that caters for all riders. Formed on VE day at Wollaton Park in 1945, we’ve helped hundreds of local cyclists enjoy cycling at all levels, including Olympic and Commonwealth success.

The club has since enjoyed a rich history, both developing as a social club and producing racing champions and in 2020, the club celebrated its 75th year.

Our members today enjoy road riding, the velodrome, cyclo cross, time-trialling, circuit racing and off-road rides. There’s something for everyone.

We have riders aged 7 to 75+ and have fully qualified coaches and ride leaders. Our British Cycling accredited Go Ride Club has young riders from 7-17 and offers coaching and regular weekly sessions.

Our ride leaders offer regular rides for beginners and we also run rides as part of the British Cycling Breeze programme which is aimed at getting more women into riding.

At the other end of the spectrum, our adult riders take part in a full programme of rides and events throughout the year, from the sociable Wednesday evening pootle to the regular Sunday café ride.

If you want to find out more, drop us an email, take a look at our club Facebook page or just come to one of our rides!
