Back by popular demand, our annual trip to the Peak District with the Go Ride section of the club, took place in early July (5-6). Setting off from Sawley, 25 young riders, parents and coaches rode 50 miles to Youlgreave Youth Hostel on the Saturday morning. The "fast" group of older riders took in a few more hills on the route out via Hilton and Ashbourne, with the younger riders taking a more leisurely pace and a long section of the Tissington Trail.

Route master, Kev Turner, was one of the chief organisrs: "I love planning these weekends and devising new routes. The feedback has been brilliant and our younger group were spared the big hills. The same can't be said for the older group who had to tackle climbs up Tansley, Riber and Crich on the way back!"

Maxim Cristano, aged 12, added: "I rode with the older riders this year which i really enjoyed. It tested me and i was proud of getting up all the hills."
